I came across this graph in the March issue of Direct Commerce magazine and just had to share it with you!

It’s shows what promotions were being put on the front cover of Mail Order catalogues in 2011 and 2012 – month by month. How does it stack up to what you were doing? [Read more...]

Best Practice Christmas Decorations

For the festive season we’ve taken a look at the top 20 UK sites of the last quarter and assessed them for how well decorated their Christmas trees are and what they are doing to make it easy for customers to buy from them.

The winners were the supermarkets (Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s) and the losers were the clothes shops (Asos, River Island, Topman). [Read more...]

When Remarketing Goes Wrong

aka When Remarketing doesn’t keep up with your Promotions…

This weekend Cargo, the homewares retailer, have a big promotion on. In honour of the bank holiday weekend they’ve taken 10% off almost all products – even those in the Sale. But their remarketing activity isn’t up to speed. They’ve got a very detailed remarketing set up – so you don’t just get an ad for Cargo, you get an ad for the product you looked at: [Read more...]
